Medical Office Buildings (MOB) are office buildings that are specifically designed for health care practices. MOBs are designed with the patient experience in mind. Many are also designed with entrances and receiving areas that can accommodate ambulances, while the structure is strengthened to support medical equipment which is often times heavier than typical office equipment, and requires more accessibility to maneuver into place. Elevators often include at least one gurney sized cab. Upgraded HVAC and plumbing are common as well.
